Youtube - My Opinion ❁

So today I'm going to do more of a chatty post because I love reading these sort of posts and I haven't written this sort of post before. Today I am going to talk about YouTube because although I love YouTube and really enjoy watching YouTube videos I wanted to share some of my views on the bad parts of YouTube.♛

DISCLAIMER: All opinions are my own and I am not saying that YouTube is bad because it most certainly isn't. I am only writing this post to share my view on YouTube. ⌘

Materialism in YouTube

If you don't know what the definition of materialism is then the dictionary definition of materialism is: the belief that having money and possessions is the most important thing in life. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy hair and makeup tutorials just as much as the next teenage girl but you have got to admit that those types of videos are very materialistic. What I mean by this is that it seems to be able to have a successful makeup or hair tutorial you have to spend a lot of money having the top of the range products. I do really enjoy these videos but I prefer advice or pranks videos because I think they require more talent and more thought. ❤︎

The way YouTubers are treated by fans

I've watched some YouTuber's vlogs where they're are on the way to an event and when they arrive at the event you see all their fans literally swarming around their car. It literally looks so scary that I got scared just watching these vlogs. The best way I can describe this is can you imagine the chaos that would happen if Benefit were giving away £200 worth of products to the first 1000 people to touch a certain car? Yep absolute chaos.∞

Hope you enjoyed this post, what do you think about YouTube?

Clothing, Beauty and Other Stuff Haul! ❤︎

So on Friday I went shopping to MK centre and I bought a lot, and I mean A LOT. In fact I now have less than £2 to my name. The shops I bought items from were H&M, Lush, WHSmiths, Hollister, Superdrug and Boots. Just to per-warn you, there are a lot of pictures.

 H&M
Firstly I bought this simple, quite baggy Navy and White t-shirt with upturned sleeves. It was £6.99 which I think is a bargain because I absolutely love the pattern and I love slightly baggy tops with upturned sleeves. Then I bought this slightly see through navy and white baseball top with 3/4 length sleeves. It has a quite large pocket and the front and it was £9.99.

Yes I like navy and white! So, of course when I saw a tight navy and white striped top for £3.99 I had to buy it. I think Stripes are the perfect thing to wear from winter to spring. I also absolutely love Navy and White and I think they really suit me.  All of the clothing I bought were very simple items that I can wear with anything.

LUSH

When I went into Lush, I discovered that they still had some of there valentines collection, so I was thrilled (It was the first time I had seen the Lush valentines collection in store). ❤︎
So of course I had to pick up the stunning unicorn horn for £3.25. It looks stunning as does the very cute Rose which was £2.95. I can't wait to see what they both look like in the bath! I also picked the tea tree toner tab for £1. I've wanted to try this because
it's so cheap and it looks like the sort of thing that would be very beneficial for skin.

WHSmiths

WHSmiths was a very successful shop for me because there was 1 copy left of ELLE magazine  and I had been after this magazine for ages. The main reaon I had been after this magazine is because of the free benefit mascara that it comes with (picture below). The mascara is amazing and well worth the £4 that the magazine cost.

I also bought the third book in the geek girl series (I ramble on about this seriesa in a previous blog post). I am currently 3/4 of the way through this book and I am loving it, well worth a read. It was £6.99.

Superdrug

I bought 3 items in superdrug and I have even included some swatches below.

Firstly I bought this Summer of Love bronzer which was £4.99.
It is a very light bronze colour with shimmery undertones. It is not very pigmented which I think is good because I have very pale skin.

I also bought a Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm in the colour 205. I absolutely love it! Its a peachy pink that is perfect for spring. I think it suits my skin tone and it was well worth the £7.99 that it cost.

From Left to Right: Babylips, Revlon, Summer of Love
I also bought the Maybelline Baybylips in Oh Orange from the electro collection. It is very moisturising and a very natural colour. It cost £2.99.

Firrstly thank you if you have managed to get this far! I hope you have enjoyed this post, it took me ages to write.

Are there any products above that you would like to see a specific review on?

My favourite books ❤︎

First of all I would like to apologize for not posting for a week I've been really busy with options evening, homework and all the other busy parts of life. However I do have some posts planed and it is currently half term for me so I have more time. Therefore today's post is going to be quite big to make up for it. So without further ado, lets get started...

From what I remember - This is a fantastic book that I have just finished reading for about the hundredth time. It is written by Stacy Kramer and Valarie Thomas and it is about two people who are at complete different ends of the social spectrum at their high school in America yet they end up in Mexico together on a whirlwind of an adventure. I love this book because it is basically about defying stereo types and living spontaneously. I would 100% recommend this book, it is a brilliant read that anyone could relate to.

The Originals - This is a very unique book about 3 clones who live as one person. The three girls each take in turns to go out of the house, but the girls are fed up of living as a third of a person they want to be real teenagers and have their own lives. This is a very exciting, gripping book with lots of extra surprises.

Will Grayson, Will Grayson - I absolutely love this book which is written by John Green and David Levithan. It is about two different boys both called Will Grayson who are completely different with different problems and during the book their lives become entwined in the strangest of ways. It is really difficult to describe the plot but it is such a brilliant book that you should definitely read.

Geek Girl & Geek Girl Model Misfit - I absolutely love these books written by Holly Smale. They are very funny and light hearted. They are part of a four book series about a very Geeky girl called Harriet, who gets a big break as a model. Harriet is a hopeless model and it is very funny to go along with her on her adventure. I absolutely love these books and I really want to get books 3 & 4.
Thank you ever so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed this post. Some of you may have noticed that recently I have been playing around with the design of my blog a lot recently, that is because I have been struggling to design a layout that I really like. But I think I am now happy with my design (finally). I am hopefully going to post a haul at some point this week (probably Saturday) because I am going shopping on friday.

If you have any products that you would recommend then please comment them below.

Thanks for Reading - Ella  ❤︎

Everyday Fitness ❁

I know that everyone including myself can often find it difficult to find the time for sport. So in this post I'm going to give you some ideas for when you can complete fitness during everyday tasks.

1. Whilst the kettle boils:
Plank

2. When the bath is filling up:
Tricep dips on the side of the bathtub

3. During an advert break:
Run up and down the stairs

4. Whilst you're waiting for the toast to pop up:
Press ups

5. Waiting for a YouTube video to load:
Burpees

Obviously the ideas above are just suggestions and you can change and adapt them. I hope you find this useful.
Love Ella ❁
