May Favourites (Blog Posts)

Hey everyone, so recently I read this post on Joys of being Paige and I have been loving lots of blogs at the minute so I really want to do my own version of this post! So this post is going to be me talking about my favourite blog posts of May!

Well of course a post from the Joys of being Paige had to be on this list! I love all of her lists but I think my favourite for the month of May was her 'what I have learnt in 8 months of blogging' post. I find all of Paige's post really useful and extremely well written, I love all her blogging related posts, I've learnt so much that has really helped the development and growth of my blog.

The Sunday Chapter - all of her posts!!! I looked through my saved posts on blog lovin and the vast majority of my saved posts are from the Sunday Chapter. I particularly love her healthy eating and advice posts, he posts make me a lot of motivated.

I love all of Saffie's posts because you can say that she puts a lot of time and effort into them. In the month of May my favourite posts of Saffie's music playlist and her how to complete a room. I liked reading music playlist because she has a good taste in music and I like discovering new songs. I love her how to complete a room post because her ideas are really pretty and the post have me some fab ideas for my own room.

I am an avid BB cream lover and I love discovering new BB creams, this is why I found Ella's post really useful. I also enjoyed her summer outfit post and Tanya Burr cookies post (which I have made and failed and made and succeeded).

I loved Elsa's hand lettered song lyrics posts, she is super talented and all her drawings are so pretty. It has made me really want to hand letter some song lyrics of my own one day.

Being an avid blog lover there were a lot more posts that I enjoyed throughout the month of May but these are just a handful of my favourites. I will hopefully add links at a later date. I hope that you are enjoying the summer weather, thank you for reading, see you next time!

Mini Haul!

Hey Everyone, so it's currently half term for me and I've done a little bit of shopping and I thought that I would put it all together and make a mini collective haul post. Also please remember to follow me on bloglovin if you aren't already!

I bought mostly makeup but I did buy 1 top and a couple of home bits as well. I'm going to start with the top I bought.

The top I bought was from Newlook and it was meant to cost £5.99 but me and my friend both bought one and there was an offer, 2 for £8 which i think is a bargain! I absolutely love this top, it is strappy and slightly cropped. it has navy and white horizontal striped but the trim has the same stripes but vertically. I absolutely love the neckline and straps of this top it is almost like a racer back top. I've wanted a top like this for ages and I was thrilled when I found it, I just want to wear it all the time!

Next onto home ware pieces, I bought 2 storage pieces both from b&m! They were both absolute bargains because they were only 99p each! The first thing I bought was a 'duck egg' coloured woven basket which matches my room perfectly and it is fantastic for storing make-up brushes. I also bought a super cute jar which is fantastic for storage and it would look great in any room.

And finally onto makeup, I bought 2 make-up brushes an eyebrow one for £1 and a foundation brush for £2 both of the brushes were from Wilkos. The brushes are okay, they are nothing special but I was desperate for new brushes and they were so cheap so I had nothing to loose. From Wilkos I also bought a nude lipstick from essence in the shade 'Nude Love' I really like the colour but when applying it wasn't very pigmented at all and I was very disappointed, it only cost £2.30 but I would have been better off buying a lipstick from the Natural collection instead. I then went into boots and superdrug, in there I bought Bourjois 123 perfect CC cream for £10 and I absolutely love the coverage this gives and the shade suits my skin tone perfectly. Another product that I love is Maybelline's brow drama in the shade transparent this product is fantastic, it really makes a huge difference to my eyebrows and it is well worth the £6 that it costs. In superdrug I picked up a pair of £1.99 eyelash curlers because I had trodden on my old ones and broken them! At the moment I am getting on really well with my new eyelash curlers. The final 2 makeup items I bought were the Makeup Revolution Palette in Redemption Palette Iconic 2 which cost £4 and the MUA highlighter in iridescent gold for £3. This palette is stunning I love all the shades especially the shimmers, all the eye shadows are extremely pigmented definitely recommend. The highlighter is also extremely pigmented and I love the gold tones, I'm not sure if this colour is right for my skin tone but for £3 the pigmentation is amazing.

Thank you ever so much for reading, you may notice I buy a lot of cheaper makeup, but that is because I believe that some of the best makeup can be really cheap and from really cheap brands. See you next time,

April Favourites ❤️

Hey everyone, so today I'm going to be a favourites posts because I feel like throughtout April I have invested more time on myself so I have built up quite a good list of favourites. I have included some slightly different things as well (not just beauty products) so I hope you find this quite interesting. They are in no particular order because they are all so different so I couldn't chose! The Next Step - CBBC TV series

Season 2 of the next step first came out this month and I know it's on a children's channel, but who cares? It's just too good not to watch! This new series has bought a lot more drama, which is very exciting but it's also a downside because we have seen a lot less actual dancing but the exciting drama makes up for it. I went online and was googling (is that even a word?) some info about the cast etc. and I unfortunately stumbled across some spoilers (sob sob) so I would recommened not googling about it. Overall I have been loving the next step and I now can't wait for 4:30 on Tuesday's and Fridays!

XHIT and Fitness Blender - Fitness YouTube Channels
This month I have been really into Fitness YouTube videos, particularly XHIT and Fitness Blender. XHIT is fantastic because it has a lot of celebrity workouts, Victoria's Secret angel workouts and all in under 10 minutes! Fitness Blender is completely different because their videos are not gender specific whereas XHIT's videos are very much targeted for women. Fitness Blender's videos all vary in length which is great if you want to do a longer workout and they have a video which targets every area. I have thoroughly enjoyed following this videos and they have definitely helped me become more toned and increase my knowledge of the workout world!

Hand Food - Soap and Glory's hand cream
Unfortunately I often get very dry hands, so throughtout April I have get my small hand food in my school bag and it has been amazing! I am using it all the time and my skin feels a lot softer and even a lot healthier! If you get really dry hands I think you should keep a hand cream in your school bag, it's certainly one of the best things I have ever done for my hands!

My Smoothie Reciepe
If you are a devoted reader of Ella's Delights (which I'm sure you are ;p) you will know that in my last post I included my smoothie recipe. I'm sorry if you think it is vain that I have included my own recipe in a favourites post, but honestly I have been drinking it so much that I couldn't not include it! It tastes so good and it makes my feel a lot healthier. What I love about smoothies is that you can have great fun playing around with ingredients and flavours, for example, yesterday I used orange juice instead of water and it tasted so good! You should definitely have a go at making your own smoothie recipe.

Simple Moisturiser
Recently I have gotten into a more consistent skin care routine and it has done my skin no end of good! I was starting to get a lot of dry skin on my chin and jawline which was cussing break outs; so I started using my simple moisturiser and it has made a huge difference! My skin feels a lot softer and healthier and it has also significantly reduces break outs. If you are hesitant to invest in a bottle of this then I would definitely recommend purchasing a travel miniature for only £1. You can find them near the Bureau Exchange (the bit where you change currency) in a supermarket. They are funtastaic because they are really cheap but they last forever.

I hope you enjoyed this post, I'm sorry if it isn't very exciting, I wrote it on my iPod and I will hopefully add pictures when I have access to a computer.
Enjoy may bank holiday!

Clothing, Beauty and Other Stuff Haul! ❤︎

So on Friday I went shopping to MK centre and I bought a lot, and I mean A LOT. In fact I now have less than £2 to my name. The shops I bought items from were H&M, Lush, WHSmiths, Hollister, Superdrug and Boots. Just to per-warn you, there are a lot of pictures.

 H&M
Firstly I bought this simple, quite baggy Navy and White t-shirt with upturned sleeves. It was £6.99 which I think is a bargain because I absolutely love the pattern and I love slightly baggy tops with upturned sleeves. Then I bought this slightly see through navy and white baseball top with 3/4 length sleeves. It has a quite large pocket and the front and it was £9.99.

Yes I like navy and white! So, of course when I saw a tight navy and white striped top for £3.99 I had to buy it. I think Stripes are the perfect thing to wear from winter to spring. I also absolutely love Navy and White and I think they really suit me.  All of the clothing I bought were very simple items that I can wear with anything.

LUSH

When I went into Lush, I discovered that they still had some of there valentines collection, so I was thrilled (It was the first time I had seen the Lush valentines collection in store). ❤︎
So of course I had to pick up the stunning unicorn horn for £3.25. It looks stunning as does the very cute Rose which was £2.95. I can't wait to see what they both look like in the bath! I also picked the tea tree toner tab for £1. I've wanted to try this because
it's so cheap and it looks like the sort of thing that would be very beneficial for skin.

WHSmiths

WHSmiths was a very successful shop for me because there was 1 copy left of ELLE magazine  and I had been after this magazine for ages. The main reaon I had been after this magazine is because of the free benefit mascara that it comes with (picture below). The mascara is amazing and well worth the £4 that the magazine cost.

I also bought the third book in the geek girl series (I ramble on about this seriesa in a previous blog post). I am currently 3/4 of the way through this book and I am loving it, well worth a read. It was £6.99.

Superdrug

I bought 3 items in superdrug and I have even included some swatches below.

Firstly I bought this Summer of Love bronzer which was £4.99.
It is a very light bronze colour with shimmery undertones. It is not very pigmented which I think is good because I have very pale skin.

I also bought a Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm in the colour 205. I absolutely love it! Its a peachy pink that is perfect for spring. I think it suits my skin tone and it was well worth the £7.99 that it cost.

From Left to Right: Babylips, Revlon, Summer of Love
I also bought the Maybelline Baybylips in Oh Orange from the electro collection. It is very moisturising and a very natural colour. It cost £2.99.

Firrstly thank you if you have managed to get this far! I hope you have enjoyed this post, it took me ages to write.

Are there any products above that you would like to see a specific review on?
